Proceed with Caution

Well, I'm home... The appointment really went about as well as I'd expected/figured. We have been cleared for IVF, BUT... but they strongly caution that because of my weight the procedure would have significantly decreased chances of working.

They also need me to do a repeat HSG, and I had to get cervical swabs today, so by the end of the appt, I was in quite the mood.

As for what we're going to do, I think we've decided to wait out the summer, and see what that brings weight-loss wise, and if it brings me into a permanent position with the feds, bc right now being term I can't take a whole shwack of time off without having to go right back down to zero seniority. so, while we're back on the bench in a way, it's also time to stretch me legs and get some of the weight off that benchsitting has brought me.

  1. YAY for getting the go ahead for IVF!
Fall will be here before you know it and I hope that by then your permanency comes through too.

  2. Wonderful news! I know the "not knowing about what is happening at work" was weighing on your mind as well so if that little bit of extra time could prove beneficial in a number of ways then that's not a bad thing either. Time flies so quickly that it will be here before you know it and spring babies are wonderful :)

  3. I like the intermediate goal of getting healthier (I think Yaya just posted something about getting a kick-@$$ body if she's not going to be pregnant, although it certainly seems as though she already has one). I'm thinking about maybe even signing up for martial arts classes at my work, myself, because I feel as though, if I can't have a healthy reproductive system and I can't be pregnant even though everyone else is, then I have to be able to stop walking around with post-pregnancy hips (sans pregnancy!) because it just erodes my self-esteem.

Anyway, getting in shape make you FEEL so good, right? (It's a distant memory.) So amen to that.
