Weight off my shoulders...

Just had my meeting with my manager… and it went all right.

I started off telling him I was going to be going through some procedures in the next few months that will include daily monitoring & then some time off... He suggested I just work 9-5 the weeks that I'm doing monitoring, so that I don't have to worry about being 'too late' those mornings, which I thought was a grand idea.  He asked what to tell ppl if they ask why I'm changing my hours, etc, and I just said "tell them it's just some monitoring my drs want done - blood tests & the like". It's not like that's a lie…

I did tell him that it's IVF, and that I don't know the exact schedule yet, but that he'll be completely kept in the loop re: timelines for monitoring/days off. As much as I didn't want to have to tell him such specifics, I'm happier about being up front than being all vague. Because that stress probably wouldn't have been good for me/potential baby….

  1. I'm so glad your meeting went well and I think it will take a huge wave of stress off of you when you cycle.
