Been a long week...

it's been a long week here... I was co-hosting a friend's baby shower today - up making the cake & veggie trays & cupcakes until all hours of last night was just well, the icing on the cake.

I'm contemplating making this blog open to registered readers only. I don't want to, but in light of what happened with Christie, I think it could be best. At least then I'd know who was reading...

So, what I'm wondering from you, dear readers, is well, who are ya? Who is reading, and would you continue to read if it was registered readers only?

  2. I've just recently started reading-having recently discovered our 2ndry IF troubles it's nice to know we're not alone..but ditto, completely understand if a)you didn't want me to keep following or b)register...I think it's only fair...especially in light of what happened *gulp* how awful..hopoe things are going a bit better. I apologize for not commenting sooner...I wasn't sure if it was wanted or not! (I'm a friend of Chelle's btw) Take it easy ladies--Erin

  4. I don't know WTF to think... I never saw the original post but I'm pissed that it has taken someone I care about from places that I like to hang out... maybe I need some perspective, but maybe some others need some perspective, too.

Whatevs, Chelle. It's your place, do as you wish. I'll still be here, cheering you and Christie on no matter what...

  6. Sorry - deleted my first response because I didn't finish the thought..

I read it too and would like to continue to read. I would like to be here to support my friends through what I know is a really tough journey.

  8. I've been reading. I don't know any of you personally (I can't say "I've never even been to Canada" though I think that would be funny). I'm clueless about what happened to Christie - I mean, I read her last post, I get the idea, but if I read her previous post, I've got it confused with another blog (it's hard getting to know people you've never met!).

Honestly, I'm pretty serious about my anonymity, and I'm really surprised that you all let your IRL acquaintance know where to find you on Mr. Internet. I guess for me, blogging is because the real world doesn't get it, ergo, they don't get to peek into my more forthright world. But of course, you may be in entirely different situations with your friends and family.

I'm sure you'll make the right decision. Whether you invite me to keep reading or not, I wish you all the best.

  9. Ms. Misfit...

Thanks for your comments. Most of these 'real people' are friends I've actually made via the internet over the past 5 years or so (longer in Dimps' case!), and for the ones that don't live close by, I've still met them on travels and such.

A lot of the friends I've got IRL don't know about this place, and that's ok. I do think though that for now, I've got to keep a rein in on things, hence the decision in today's post to go invite-only, as much as that pains me. I hope you'll keep reading - the insights of people I don't 'really' know are good in times like these.
